Green Apple Ripple Cuff Bracelet

This is the first Ripple bracelet I made. It now belongs to my friend, because in the learning/design curve it came out quite a bit smaller in length than I wanted. It crinkles up after you get most of the edges on with the peyote stitch, so it comes out shorter than you want it. I made a couple of changes between the first one one (the top photo) and the 2nd Apple green one, like: Number of herringbone rows, amount of edging, shape of size 11 beads. I think I like the first one better, what's your opinion, please, which cuff do you like better?

This is a new design. I call this one Green Apple Ripple Cuff. The base is Herringbone stitch with 2 different size beads, and the sides are a peyote starting with size 8's and then a few rows of 2 drop with 11's to make the ripple. It's pretty fun to do. I will probably make a couple more in the near future.

Ann - It's great! It's such an unusual design, with that wavy edge. The colors are great, too. I'm gaining a whole new appreciation for the color green. :-)

As soon as I saw it and saw the word ripple in it's name, all I could think about is one in Neopolitan like the ice cream. It's beautiful!

I'm fascinated by how you "engineered" your new design. Then you chose my current color obsession...how could I not love it !

Oh, I love the bracelet. It has such pretty ruffles and the color becomes it.

I love the color of the bronze, but the pattern on the apple. Great job!

I really like both...one seems less "frilly" than the other. I think you have two different designs here and they both work really well. The apple green one would be fun in pink and gold, while the bronze one would work really well in black and red. Just my 2 cents.

I like them both, but I think I like the apple green one because the edges are less ripply. That, and the green really shines! :-)

I like the colours in the top one best. The darker one. It seems to have more depth.

I agree with Carol Dean and her two cents. Also, with the variation, you could write a magazine article. The piece is very striking in both color schemes. Personally, I like the first one better.
